Peach Valley Cafe Heathrow

Delicious, Inviting and Bustling Neighborhood Breakfast and Lunch Joint in Heathrow

Known most famously for their Apple Fritters, Peach Valley Café is a bustling neighborhood breakfast and lunch joint in Heathrow with a big focus on fresh.

While you’ll find a handful of Peach Valley Cafés located throughout Central Florida, the Heathrow location was the very first one opened. Upon arrival, you’ll walk into an atmosphere that’s both inviting and friendly. Choose a cozy booth, sit at the diner-style bar, or relax on the outdoor patio overlooking the Seminole Wekiva Trail and a scenic lake.

A visit to Peach Valley Café isn’t complete until you’ve sampled the signature Apple Fritters. This is Peach Valley Café’s most famous dish and once you’ve tasted them for yourself you’ll understand. My server, Sharon, described them to me as a “little bite of heaven” and I have to agree.

The fritters are brought to you in a paper bag and shaken tableside in a heavenly sugar and cinnamon blend. If you’re a cinnamon lover, you’ll appreciate the scent wafting out of the bag as it’s opened. The resulting product is an assortment of round, doughy balls with bite sized pieces of apple filling the warm interiors. If that description doesn’t seal the deal, note that the fritters are also served with brown sugar cinnamon scented strawberry yogurt for dipping. (Little bite of heaven indeed.)

While the Apple Fritters are reason enough to love this cozy restaurant, the fact that a variety of brunch favorites are daily offerings sweeten the deal even further.

Chicken and Waffles, for example, is a dish you may need to wait until Sunday brunch to enjoy. Yet at Peach Valley Café, you can indulge every day of the week if you desire (count me in). Their chicken and waffles are served dusted in powdered sugar and topped with homemade blueberry butter. Cajun syrup offers a hint of spice and a creative twist to this favorite.

The eggs benedict is another customer favorite with three options available: Vegetable & Egg Croissant, Philly Steak & Egg Croissant, or Traditional. The hollandaise sauce is made fresh in house with egg yolk, lemon, butter, and white wine. All benedict offerings are served with a tasty side of breakfast potatoes made fresh each day.

If you’re feeling a little sleepy, order the Valley Fiesta breakfast sandwich. Served between two slices of sourdough garlic bread, chorizo sausage, pico de gallo, avocado, and an egg are all piled high and topped with Onion & Peach Pepper Sauce. I’ve dubbed this the “wake up” sandwich as the spicy (but still pleasant) kick from the chorizo sausage and Onion & Peach Pepper Sauce will definitely perk up your senses. The sauce is a Peach Valley Café original created exclusively for the restaurant. If you fall in love, you can take a bottle home with you for $5.99.

Seasonal offerings, like the Lemon & Blueberry Pancakes on special for the next month or so, are also available depending on what’s in season. As big as the plate they’re served on and served with homemade blueberry butter and compote, these pancakes are no joke. A little bit sweet, a little bit tart, these pancakes are the perfect blend for a summery breakfast treat.

Peach Valley Café is an ideal hangout for breakfast that’s especially busy on Sundays, but the lunch offerings are also worth sampling. The Santa Fe Salad, Santa Fe Wrap, or Blackened Chicken Pasta are manager Robert Parker’s personal lunch favorites. If you’re not an early riser, have no fear – breakfast is served all day.

While the culinary offerings certainly speak for themselves, Peach Valley Café goes the extra mile to make their customers feel welcome and like they’re among friends. Servers strike up conversations with customers about how their day is going, or what they’re doing while visiting the area and check in often to make sure dishes are up to par. There’s a healthy mix of locals and out of towners, and everyone is welcome.

Whether you prefer breakfast or lunch, are a local looking for a new hangout or a visitor looking to mingle with the locals, Peach Valley Café has something on the menu to delight everyone. Save an apple fritter for me!
